This 2" wide DeShedder Blade is perfect for small size animals. With just a push of a button you can switch out the de-shedding tool attachment head. If you are currently using the flat side of a #40 blade for carding then you will love the deshedder blades to use as is. The molded-attached handle makes it easier and more comfortable to use then the #40 clipper blade for smoothing clipped lines in hard and flat coats. ***Special Note*** Any De-Shedder type blade rake should be used with care to avoid irritating the dog's skin. This type of tool is most appropriate for coarse textured coats, such as the Labrador, Rottweiler, Pug; Terrier breeds such as the Airedale, Cairn, Lakeland and Jack Russell. The De-Shedding Blade Rake is good for Double coated breeds too. Purr-fect size for CATS! You would not want to use the tool on curly or longhaired breeds.
